Uckfield College Celebrates Another Wealden Cup Victory

For a second successive year, students from Uckfield College have won the prestigious Wealden Cup by demonstrating their willingness to take on a variety of events to claim the ultimate accolade.

The Wealden Cup is a challenging multidisciplinary competition which started in June 2018 with a daunting University Challenge style competition and finished with a fiercely fought debate this year.

As well as putting their minds to the test, students were put through their sporting paces by competing in football and netball, and the cup also saw their culinary skills tested with a Masterchef style element.

Uckfield College principal, Hugh Hennebry says: “It is an absolute joy to see our students demonstrating that with hard work, passion and resilience they can succeed.’

“We love that the competition allows students to demonstrate a huge variety of skills and above all that with excellent teamwork and hard work they can thrive.”
