East Grinstead Resident Recognises Neighbour’s Morale Boosting Installation
Emma Mogg, an East Grinstead resident has been in touch with Jamie, our Features Editor with a little appreciation message for her neighbours Rachel and Rod who at the start of May, made a lovely Maypole for all to enjoy.
Here’s what Emma had to say:
“Dear Editor,
I just wanted to share with you these photos of a local East Grinstead couple (my neighbours) who have been trying to brighten people’s day as they go out for their walks during lockdown. Rachel and Rod have set up a little table and chairs on Coombe Hill Road East Grinstead to give weary walkers a chance to sit and rest.”
“They have also been decorating the area with a Christmas tree in December, an Easter branch full of colourful eggs and more recently a Maypole to celebrate May. They have left some ribbons loose so that children can play with it and weave the patterns.”
“In the past, this philanthropic couple has also held fundraisers for the homeless and dementia.”
