Glow Wild
Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex, is pleased to announce the return of Glow Wild, the popular winter lantern trail.
As darkness falls, let the magic begin as the gardens are transformed with glowing lanterns, mesmerising projections, immersive soundscapes, and glistening torches of fire. Returning for its eighth year, Glow Wild is an unmissable evening of winter wonder, packed full of surprises and home to UK’s tallest living Christmas tree decorated with 1,800 lights.
This year’s trail reflects on the beauty of nature that has blossomed during the pause of the past year, reminding us to tread lightly and allow the wild to unfurl around us. Brand new installations include dazzling glowworms in the Twilight Garden, animated projections in the trees, and award-winning light designers return with spectacular displays reflecting over Black Pond.
Plus for the first time ever, there are now pre-bookable dining experiences, including the Winter Lodge in the Elizabethan Mansion, offering the chance to treat yourself to an evening of luxury with an unlimited selection of festive fizz and winter warmers.
Glow Wild runs on selected evenings from 25 November to 2 January. Choose from 12 time slots at 20-minute intervals between 4.30pm and 8.15pm. On select evenings quiet sessions are available from 4.15pm for visitors with hidden disabilities, such as autism. Booking essential, tickets selling fast visit kew.org/glowwild
