Haywards Heath’s Mayor Looking Forward To Shaping The Future

Elected in May to the post, Haywards Heath Town Mayor, Cllr Alastair McPherson, says he is looking forward to the exciting role, and is proud of the community ethos that exists in the town.

As part of his mayoralty, Cllr McPherson aims to encourage all age groups to get involved in the town’s plans and activities to create a greater community feel throughout the town.

Speaking about the role, Cllr McPherson says: “It is a great honour to be elected as town mayor and I am looking forward to the good work we can achieve together as a community.”

Before being elected town mayor, Cllr McPherson had served as deputy mayor, and played a role in the initial stages of the Bolnore Village Primary School as a member of the Bolnore School Group.

Cllr McPherson adds: “I welcome the challenge of getting all the businesses, residents and community groups in Haywards Heath to pull together to shape the future of our town.”
