Reigate Rotary Club Helps Town’s Students
Reigate Rotary Club Helps town’s Students
At the end of last year, The Rotary Club of Reigate offered 36 students from the town the opportunity of experiencing an interview to help calm any nervousness the students may have and to help them to make the most of their attributes.
The project, co-ordinated by David Brackpool at The Royal Alexandra & Albert School and Peter White of The Rotary Club of Reigate, featured two Rotary members – experienced in commerce, interview students and examine their pre-submitted latest CV.
This year The Rotary Club of Reigate plans to widen its programme and prepare more school and college leavers, with a Get That Job seminar for 50 young people in Reigate at which they will be coached by representatives from local businesses.
The Royal Alexandra & Albert School in Reigate dates to the 1750s, has a sixth form of 170 students studying a wide range of subjects with the aspiration of attaining a placement at the university or a degree-apprenticeship.
