Reigate Student’s Year Of Fundraising

Reigate Student’s Year Of Fundraising

As the calendar year comes to an end, Dunottar School in Reigate has revealed its students, teachers and other staff raised almost £22,000 for charities and good causes throughout the academic year of 2018 – 19.

The school’s community raised a total of £21,827 for 16 charities, which excludes the donation of hair by a sixth form student to The Little Princess Trust and a donation of food to Loveworks.

Among the fundraising events this year, sixth formers organise a popular splat the teacher which raised more than £500 for BBC Children In Need, a full moon marathon to raise £4,300 for Walk the Walk, and a cake sale for Macmillan.

Headmaster, Mark Tottman, said: “I am delighted not only with the amount we have raised, but also with the variety of creative ways in which the pupils and charity committee have engaged.”
