Royal Approval For Mental Health Work In West Sussex Schools
Innovative work to improve wellbeing in West Sussex’s schools and colleges formed part of a discussion with the Duchess of Cambridge. Her Royal Highness joined senior leaders from education, health and the charity sector at The Royal Foundation Mental Health in Education Conference for a day of talks.
The special, royally-attended event earlier this year explored the benefits of collaborative working and looked at what more can be done to create a culture of wellbeing in schools and colleges.
West Sussex County Council staff Becca Randell and Vanessa Wood were guests, invited along in recognition of the work being done locally.
Becca, early help commissioning lead for children and families, said: “We were delighted to showcase our whole-school approach to improving mental health and emotional wellbeing in West Sussex.”
