Over 200 things to see and do at this year’s South of England Show

Looking for the perfect day out this summer?
The South of England Show is back from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th June 2025 at the South of England Showground in Ardingly – and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever.
Running from 9am to 6.30pm each day, the show is packed with entertainment for all ages. Whether you’re passionate about farming, food, countryside pursuits, or just fancy a great family day out, there’s something here for everyone.
Animal lovers can look forward to amazing livestock competition, including cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats, plus mock auctions and expert butcher’s demos. Equestrian fans are in for a treat too, with over 100 equine showing classes, showjumping, a Shetland Pony Grand National, and the adrenaline-pumping scurry driving competition.
New this year is ‘Behind the Stable Door,’ featuring live farrier and equestrian talks on Saturday 7th. You’ll also find countryside favourites like falconry, ferrets, traditional crafts and even a medieval re-enactment village bringing Saxon and Viking history to life.
Foodies, rejoice! The Food Hall and Village will be brimming with delicious local and independent produce, while Gin Alley and the Grape & Grain Walk offer tastings of regional gins, beers and wines. Don’t forget to browse the Made in Sussex shopping area for local treats and artisan goods.
Families will love the mini ride-on trains, hands-on cookery workshops, funfair rides and the Sheep Show. And, on Saturday 7th, the hugely popular children’s character Bluey will be making special appearances at intervals throughout the day.
Nature enthusiasts can visit the brand-new Wildlife & Food Production area, where interactive exhibits and talks explore how farmers balance food production with protecting wildlife and the environment.
There’s also a garden design competition, plant stalls, and live bee demos in the Bees & Honey Marquee.
