Town’s Council Pays Tribute To Councillor
Horley Town Council paid tribute to long-serving town councillor, Cllr Valerie Marshall who passed away suddenly in September.
Cllr Valerie Marshall, pictured with her husband, Cllr Simon Marshall had served the council and residents of Horley since 2007.
She was well known in the local community and involved in Horley in Bloom, Horley Open Spaces and the Horley Carnival Committee.
Paying tribute to Cllr Marshall, a spokesperson from Horley Town Council said: “Everyone at the council is very saddened by the tragic news of Valerie’s sudden and unexpected death and we are all thinking of her and her family. Valerie has been an example to us all with her passion for and interest in Horley and she will be sorely missed by fellow councillors and staff.”
September also saw the passing of former town councillor, Cllr Linda Mabbett who served the council and residents from 2015 – 2019.
