Walkers Put Their Best Foot Forward In Successful Festival
Keen walkers put their best foot forward and discovered beautiful, medieval landscape at the High Weald Walking Festival which took place in September across East and West Sussex, and Kent.
The Festival walks were aimed at inspiring people to get out and explore and enjoy the much-loved High Weald landscape, highlighting what is special about the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Walkers joined knowledgeable guides on themed walks in the High Weald’s stunning scenery with around 50 varied walks to choose from, mostly free of charge for novices and avid ramblers alike.
The festival launched from The Hub in Bodiam, before walks through ancient woodland and heathland in East Sussex and Kent nature reserves including Crawley’s Buchan Country Park and around the picturesque Rye Harbour.
